Constitution of the Miami Tribe Oklahoma
The Miami Tribe of Oklahoma is a Federally Recognized Sovereign Nation as defined by the U.S. Department of Interior. The nation has a constitution similar to the U.S. Constitution that outlines the rules of governance for the tribe. The original constitution was ratified August 16, 1939 under the Oklahoma Indian Welfare Act.
